I, along with my instructors and students have created a world. When we are in the studio, anything goes and anything is okay because we all respect and encourage each other's uniqueness. The studio is a sacred space to explore different ways to move, different ways to dress and a safe place to try on new and different attitudes.
Over the years, I've learned how to take this world with me wherever I go. I've been able to shrug off the 9-5 and I no longer own a "work wardrobe" (unless you consider yoga pants, booty shorts and tank tops a work wardrobe - which, I guess I actually do) and I don't follow too many rules, whether they be fashion, career, diet or otherwise. My hope for everyone is that they can find this place inside where it is safe to be themselves so that they have the courage to explore that which excites and even scares them.
